International Urgency: Save Jamshid Sharmahd from Unjust Execution by Iran’s Regime

In the midst of the struggles and hardships many of us face in these times, the story of Jamshid Sharmehd emerges—a tale not only of defiance against tyranny and injustice, but also of resilience and courage exemplified. Jamshid, that brave and justice-seeking individual, simply sought and stood for human rights and democratic principles, and as a result, he fell victim to the ruthless persecution of a government operating far from humanitarian beliefs.

Not only as a spokesperson and journalist, but also as a representative of the oppressed voices in Iran, Jamshid courageously worked to uncover truths and expose the regime’s abuses and injustices, without fear or violation of human laws. He remained steadfast to human values, with his only crime being his belief in ideas that the government does not tolerate.

Despite the regime’s unfair and cruel treatment towards him, transferring him to prison and conducting trials on charges unrelated to reality, Jamshid remains seated, proudly and resolutely facing the dark winds blowing against him.

Today, we declare our support for Jamshid Sharmehd, applauding his courage and steadfastness in upholding his ideals and values amidst all hardships. We not only demand his freedom and release, but we also condemn all aspects of this tyranny and injustice.

Jamshid Sharmehd, a symbol of courage and justice, who despite all difficulties and crises, remained faithful to his ideas and raised his voice for human rights and democracy in Iran and around the world, is now in need of our support. His freedom is not merely a human matter but a symbol of our belief in human values and human rights. Yet, when his existence is threatened, we are all obligated to act.

Now is the time for the international community, especially international organizations and countries claiming to support human rights and democracy, to take action. Jamshid Sharmehd, a dual Iranian-German citizen residing in the United States, has quickly become a victim of tyranny and injustice. He has been targeted not only because of his dual citizenship but also because of his beliefs and activities for human rights in Iran.

If necessary actions are not taken, this brave man, who has been held in solitary confinement for three years and suffers from Parkinson’s disease, will be unfairly and mercilessly executed. His physical and mental condition has severely deteriorated; his teeth have completely deteriorated, and he is in urgent need of care and treatment.

We call on all countries, organizations, and human rights activists to immediately act to save Jamshid Sharmehd from tyranny and inhumanity. Standing here alongside Jamshid and his family, we urge all international organizations and countries to act for his freedom and to prevent the Iranian regime from committing this ruthless crime.

Right now, it is not only for the freedom of Jamshid Sharmehd, but for the salvation of his life from the clutches of the Islamic Republic’s devilish regime and the unjust sentence of execution, that we all have a responsibility. Let us hope for a day when he can be reunited with his family and find freedom.
